Unison Reading: (Psalm 23)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Today’s Introduction:
Our reflection for today is about a great phenomenon that has existed for more than a billion years. A phenomenon that came into existence, and through this phenomenon, a movement was produced, giving birth to another phenomenon that we all experience today. This is what we call darkness.
Darkness plays a crucial role in creation; every plant that must sprout must first go deep into the dark soil, where its main root grows deep. It is from there that it begins to germinate until it emerges and reaches the sunlight.
Darkness holds several meanings. But we understand that if the earth was once covered in darkness and the Creator commanded light to come forth, this helps us realize that in the difficult moments we go through, there is always a light to guide us. These are the right moments for us to make better decisions. In the darkness—which represents the difficult moments we are living through—we must have the ability to find the guiding light. And we must feel this light every day, a light that comes from God, helping us make the right decisions for our lives.
